PARKER RANCH INC. APPOINTS TWO NEW BOARD MEMBERS

Parker Ranch Incorporated recently announced the appointment of Arthur C. Tokin and Randolph G. Moore to the Parker Ranch, Inc. Board of Directors. They join other board members Matt J. Echeverria, Herbert M. (Monty) Richards Jr., and Gary L. Gifford. Tokin and Moore replace John R. Andrews and Patrick K. Sullivan who have both recently stepped down from their board positions.

Parker Ranch, Inc. is the for-profit corporation that owns and operates the assets of the cattle ranch and real property development activities. It was formed in 1995 to manage the for-profit activities of Parker Ranch. Parker Ranch Foundation Trust trustees Mel B. Hewett, John B. Ray, Warren H. Haruki and Timothy E. Johns also sit on the board of Parker Ranch, Inc.

Tokin was the managing partner of the Pricewaterhouse Coopers Honolulu office from March 1992 until December 31, 2004. Originally from Seattle, Washington, he joined the Honolulu office in 1971. He is nationally recognized for his expertise in strategic planning, financial accountability, corporate governance and real estate, having worked with major clients in the islands. Tokin, a former marine captain and Vietnam Veteran, obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the University of Washington and his Masters in Business Administration from Oregon State University. He is also a certified public accountant. Tokin’s wide-ranging community involvement includes past chairmanship of the Hawai’i State Board of Accountancy, the Historic Hawai’i Foundation and presidency of The Foundation for the Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies. Among other positions, he is currently a director for Hawai’i National Bank and Haleakala Ranch.

Moore has most recently served as project manager, Act 51, in the Department of Education Superintendent’s office. Prior to becoming a teacher in 2001 at Central Middle School, Moore was with Castle & Cooke, Inc. and their subsidiary, Oceanic Properties, Inc. for twenty years. Beginning as a financial analyst, Moore later served as president from 1984 to 1986. He has also been president of Molokai Ranch, Ltd., Kaneohe Ranch Company, Ltd. and executive vice president of the Harold K.L. Castle Foundation. His list of community service is extensive and includes serving as director for Grove Farm Company, Inc., Haleakala Ranch Company and as a chair and trustee for Punahou School. He has served as chair and director for Aloha United Way, director for Big Brothers of Honolulu, Inc., for the Land Use Research Foundation and has been a member of the State Agriculture Plan Advisory Committee. Moore, a graduate of Honolulu’s Punahou High School, received a B.A. in mathematics from Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania and an M.B.A. from Stanford University in California.

Parker Ranch is one of the largest ranches in the United States, spreading more than 175,000 acres across the Big Island of Hawai’i. It surrounds the town of Waimea and spreads between the Kohala and Mauna Kea mountains. The ranch is owned by the Parker Ranch Foundation Trust for the benefit of four local charities: North Hawai’i Community Hospital, Hawai’i Preparatory Academy, Parker School Trust Corporation and the Richard Smart Fund of the Hawai’i Community Foundation.
