Waimea, Big Island of Hawai\u2019i -The Board of Directors of Parker Ranch, Inc. (PRI) has announced the appointment of Neil \u201cDutch\u201d Kuyper as President and Chief Executive Officer, effective February 28, 2011.<\/p>\n

Parker Ranch co-Chairman Pete Moynahan said, \u201cPRI\u2019s Board welcomes this opportunity to work with Dutch, a strong leader with a proven track record. With the ranch now in a more stable position, Dutch\u2019s experience, vision, sense of mission and strategic skills are a great fit with emerging opportunities for PRI.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kuyper said, \u201cI am really looking forward to coming home to Hawai\u2019i and leading Parker Ranch in its next chapter.\u00a0 I am honored to be able to assist in carrying out Richard Smart\u2019s great legacy and vision and fulfilling the responsibility to the Trust\u2019s beneficiaries and the community of Waimea.\u00a0 This is a dream come true for me and my family.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mr. Kuyper was born and raised on Oahu and returns to Hawai\u2019i with his family after 20 years of increasingly senior executive positions on the mainland and in Asia.\u00a0 Mr. Kuyper served most recently as Chief Operating Officer with Capricorn Investment Group, previously holding the same position with Morgan Creek Capital Management, following extensive experience with Wellington Management, Boston Consulting Group and Coopers & Lybrand.<\/p>\n

Mr. Kuyper graduated from Punahou School and received his undergraduate degree from Occidental College before attending the Tuck School at Dartmouth College to complete his graduate degree in business.<\/p>\n

Pete Moynahan said, \u201cAs we move forward in PRI\u2019s next chapter, the Directors of Parker Ranch wish to thank Dave Ramos for again stepping up for the ranch and leading PRI as interim CEO for these past five months while the PRI Board completed its CEO search\u201d.<\/p>\n

Sixth generation Richard Palmer Parker Smart placed the ranch in trust to benefit four Waimea-based organizations with a focus on health care, education and charitable support; Hawaii Preparatory Academy, Parker School Trust Corporation, North Hawaii Community Hospital and the Richard Smart Fund of the Hawaii Community Foundation.<\/p>\n
